Everyone has someone or something that touches their lives and influence it. Aditya Birla is one such Indian multinational conglomerate which has its presence in various aspects of my day-to-day life and affects it on a daily basis. It operates in 34 countries across 5 continents with over 50% of revenues from international operations. The group has not only made large in the market but also played a big role in my life.
From helping us be in touch with our loved ones through their largest telecom operator Vodafone Idea Limited to helping we be ahead in lifestyle apparel through their wide collection of brands it has impacted not only my life but the life of everyone in some way or another. Its Vodafone SuperNet 4G assists me in my everyday need of research for different tasks.
Aditya Birla is also No. 1 in white cement in India which includes the major brand UltraTech cement. Whenever a house is built it is the integral part of the construction and it was our first choice when my family decided to build a house.
With lifestyle brands becoming a way of our lives, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail which is India’s no. 1 fashion lifestyle entity has impacted my life in this aspect also. The fashion spans from formal to semi-formals and casuals; and from luxury fashion to fast fashion. It has largest selling and most iconic men’s fashion brands in India which has been a part of my life for a long time. It is also one of the leading players in life insurance companies and has a major impact in my life.
The mission of Aditya Birla Group to deliver not only to customers and shareholders but also to society at large is one of the most prominent features of the group. It focuses on health-care, education, sustainable livelihood, women empowerment through various projects and partners. They work with number of foundations to facilitate and make a difference to the lives of the under-privileged. Thus they are responsible for improving the lives of a number of people including mine.
Overcoming challenges to achieve your goal
Challenges are a part of everyday life. They make us stronger and without them life becomes somewhat meaningless because we have nothing to compare the good times to. Facing up to challenges and living through them give us the experiences that make up our life.
One of the challenges that I faced recently was taking admission in a reputed B-School. The first part of the challenge was to decide to prepare for the exam along with the job as I was a working professional. The decision to leave the job and pursue MBA was not an easy one. It was difficult to decide to leave a well-paid job for pursuing my ambition of doing MBA. But through proper guidance and support of my family and colleagues I was able to take the decision and work towards achieving my goal.
The second part of the challenge was to prepare for the exams with the pressure of the job I was working in. The time management and the extra effort to achieve my goal was tough but it finally paid off.
I learnt that will and determination to achieve your goal with proper guidance and support can help you achieve anything in this world. It is just a matter of being brave and taking the first step towards the goal.
