Why does Aditya Birla hold relevance in my life?
Aditya Birla Group – the largest conglomerate in India, has its dynasty spread across several countries. The company is known to be acting as a holding company for more than 72 manufacturing and services subsidiaries throughout India and across the world, touching lives of many. Aditya Birla group stepped in the world of business by holding the hands of Aditya Birla in 1960s.
The varied sectors like textiles, carbon, insurance of the company show that ABG is everywhere which makes the appurtenance of consumers with ABG gargantuan. Van Heusen, an ABGFR brand created one of the fondest memories of my life. I had always seen my father wearing suits for his meetings at the Ministry of Mines. I wondered whether I would get an opportunity to wear one such suit for any of my special day. And that golden opportunity knocked at my door at the interview of NMIMS. Joining NMIMS was one of the best decisions that I ever made. I wore Van Heusen suit set along with a shirt from the same brand for my NMIMS interview and could convert the interview with flying colors which made the brand closer to my heart. The fashion retail brands of ABG have set a benchmark for other companies in the fashion world right from the non-luxury to most luxurious brands.
Aditya Birla’s Novelis is doing wonders in the world of rolling and recycling aluminum. Our earth has reached a stage where if sustainable development is not taken seriously, then we would leave a lifeless earth for our future generation. Every person should do their bit to save our mother earth. With this initiative Novelis is doing its bit of saving our mother earth by operating in 11 countries by rolling and recycling aluminum and contributing their bit for the environment and betterment of the community. It has shown how a trash can be made into business and also at the same time save the earth from pollution by recycling more than 65 million beverage cans every year.
Vodafone Idea Limited, the leading telecom service provider in India has always been my choice of network for usage. With the low rate services provided by Vodafone Idea, it has enabled India to be connected at a much larger level and leveraging these services to facilitate many small-scale businesses and improving the living standards of many average Indians. From my personal experience I can vouch for it that its super voice quality and network connectivity is supreme. And to top that, its sustainability initiatives have also grabbed my attention for making the earth a better place to live in. A company which is proving the best of services and doing great advancements and at the same time looking out for the betterment of the environment and the community is highly appreciating.
Aditya Birla group—the name speaks for it, has a huge brand-name value. It is the company that most people aspire to be associated with which helps India grow in its capacity in the past 60-70 years. The company has helped our country to create employment and set up industries for the advancement of our country which in turn created better standards of living by acclimatizing us to better quality of products and services. Aditya Birla Group has not only worked for being a famous brand name but has also increased India’s GDP, productivity and services making India proud in front of the world. And being a citizen of India I take pride in this.
The CSR at ABG lead by Mrs. Rajshree Birla is also worth mentioning. I feel extremely delighted to see that ABG brings smile to so many faces by working for the weaker section of the society and thereby raising country’s human development index. I have grown up by seeing my father doing his bit for the betterment of the society. I was born in a small town named Malanjkhand in Madhya Pradesh. I have spent my childhood days there. I used to see how my parents helped the needy children of our area with books and stationeries and also helped them with their studies after his office. He along with his friends conducted medical camps and worked for developing the condition of that area. He continued with this even after shifting to Kolkata. My heart fills with joy to know that ABG also recognizes the needs for these activities and acts towards the betterment of the society.
Its diverse work culture is one of the main facets and I being a part of such a diverse community of students, I can relate what it brings to an organization and the kind of work environment it creates. If I get an opportunity to be a part of a band like ABG, it would give me immense pleasure and shall give me a feel that even I could do something for the society in some way or the other apart from my professional growth.
