Challenges faced and how i overcame those challenges
Everybody faces challenges in life but what is important is to overcome the challenges faced. I have gone through such tough situations in my life and have worked hard to overcome those.
I was never good at public speaking. My communication skills were not up to the mark. Whenever I saw audience in front of me, I used to get to get nervous, and got scared while speaking in front of so many people. I attended a lot of sessions and improved. I kept telling myself that I have the confidence in me and that I can do it. Over a period of time, my public speaking skills gradually improved and I was able to speak fluently and confidently in front of the audience. I even volunteered to anchor some events in college which made fear go away completely.
I was also not very good with academics. I was an average student with a good track record in sports. When I thought about doing my MBA, cracking CAT was not my cup of tea. The very thought of studying Mathematics again got me depressed. I went to my mentor who instilled in me the belief that with hard work and dedication, I can score well and get into a good MBA college. I started preparing with three months to go. I faced a lot of problems in the starting but gradually with practice I was able to do well in mock tests. The hard work paid off as I scored well in the CAT exam and made it to an IIM.
