Winkin Cow Milkshakes available in four different flavours namely, chocolate, mango, strawberry and vanilla, is the sole BIL in drinks segment; which was launched as one of the many attempts BIL to become an all foods company on its 100th year of operations. My project was based out of Delhi and was aimed at increasing Winkin Cows presence across ACD with primary focus on transit cluster and tourist destinations. The targets provided was to provide an horizontal expansion by placing winking cow in 100 outlets and by projecting revenue of Rs.60lakhs (in a years time) through these outlets.
The first week of our internship was at Bangalore Executive office. During this week the focus was to get complete knowledge about the work culture at BIL, its operation which was fulfilled through the factory visits and also understanding what is expected of us at the end of the 8 weeks of internship, which had us on field (realising our targets) for a seven week stint.
In Delhi, I majorly worked with 3 AWs and 2 ASE (area sales executives), thereby covering markets like delhi metro, bus stands, universities, hospitals and tourist destinations.
At the end of 7 weeks of market stint, I was able to primarily sell 179 CBBs, and the revenues projected for a year was Rs.43,35,000 through direct conversions or in pipeline lead generations.
The basic trick to crack the interview is to be confident. More than technical knowledge, the attitude and zeal is what i feel is the basis of judgement.
My mentor/guide was Mr. Sachin Bharti, Area Sales Officer looking after the ACD channel of entire North India. He was extremely approachable and helpful.
