OVERCOME THE CHALLENGE
“Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life beautiful”
Right from when I came to know what MBA is, I have aspired to pursue this course after my graduation. So after completing graduation, I shifted back home to live with my parents for an year and prepare for MBA entrance exams.
My dad wanted me to pursue UPSC after my graduation. But at that point I was just not ready to give UPSC a try. Hence I had to persuade my dad real hard to let me pursue MBA. This resulted in a big pressure on me all the time to prove to him that this was a right decision and that I could get into one of the best B-school in India. Due to this pressure, I almost went into depression and would start crying and panicking very often. I was not able to concentrate on my studies and was scared that what if I don’t make it through any B-school. I was a big mess. I used to not score in my mock tests which would further lower my confidence. Finally the exams came and I could not give my hundred percent in any of the exams. It was my third and the final attempt of NMAT and my last shot at getting an interview call form any B-school. I realised that life is not so easy and that I should take it up as a challenge and with boldness. In order to reach my end goal I had to equip myself with a better mindset in order to crack the challenge. I had to live up to the expectations, I had set for myself. I took the last attempt with bigger motivation and was able to make it through, to one of the best B-schools in India, NMIMS.
Challenges are the objects that motivate you to take on things you might never imagine. I believe the real challenge was not cracking the MBA entrance exam, but has now begun to stand among the brightest minds in the country and come out with a better version of myself.
