P1: What is the right way to pronounce your name? Why is your spelling like this? But your mail id is like this?
P1: Okay, you have an interesting designation in your company, what do you do? What does your firm do?
P1: So are you a data scientist?
P2: Tell me more about your work ex.
Me: Marketing analytics. Team lead.
P1: What techniques do you use?
P1: How do you ensure audience similarity?
Me: Mentioned that a different team - audience selection team does it but this is how it is done.
P3: What tests do they do?
Me: Mentioned 2.
P3: Asked to explain the tests.
Me: Told them I wasn’t aware of the details since another team performs it but explained the concept.
P2: Tell me more about the other techniques used.
Me: Mentioned previous project on stepwise linear regression.
P1: What is linear regression?
P1: Why stepwise linear regression?
P1: What do you mean by interdependency of input variables?
P1: How do you know the model is correct?
P2: If you get a particular result, will you take it as final?
P3: Okay. How do you determine the economic state of a nation given that you are a manager?
Me: Mentioned 4 metrics.
P3: Why did you mention literacy rate? If you are a manager, you just have to sell your product.
Me: Needed clarity on the question since I answered keeping another factor in mind and told them about it.
P3 clarified
Me: Explained
P1: What if people don’t want your product because they are too educated?
P3: Looked convinced. Okay. What is GDP? Do you know how it is calculated?
P3: Answered. Told them I could take a guess on the calculation.
P3: Yes, go ahead.
P3: (Smiling) Okay, your first answer was better.
P2: Let’s say you are designing a model, how do you know if it is giving wrong results?
P1: Okay, thank you. You can log off.
Me: Thanks for your time, Sirs!
