The Aditya Birla Group is one of the largest Indian conglomerate affect us in a big way in our daily life. Be it by connecting people through its network, be it through building our homes or be it by providing financial capital to help to fulfil our dreams. And through this, they aim to build long-lasting relationships. It is the philosophy of caring and giving which is embedded in the group. As they mostly focus on fulfilling and servicing our needs.

I remember that in my early childhood one of my uncle was one of the first dealer for ultra-tech cement in my town. As the new government was just formed in Madhya Pradesh in 2003, construction activity was in the boom in our areas. Everything was under-construction be it homes, roads or electricity connectivity. I remember correctly that after this dealership, his growth in business was tremendous. He even went to abroad a couple of times through this dealership, as he was successfully able to complete his sales targets. He also provides us with caps and diaries where details of various point of sales are noted down and a detailed note for dealer and engineers mentioning why ultra-tech cement is best for any construction activity.

Another memory from my childhood was one of the early phones in my house was Nokia and it was connected through another brilliant venture of Aditya Birla Group ‘Idea network’. One of the main reason that attracted people and kept attached is its pan-India connectivity, its retail presence and its affordable plans that made it accessible even for people from the rural area to join. And even today they are delivering superior service with affordable pricing, my whole family is still connected through its network. It also provides a tremendous amount of business opportunity in form Idea dealership as previously data and validity recharge can only be done through these retail stores.

If your first instinct is to run away from failures, then perhaps you’re doing it the wrong way!                         Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla

After completing my 10th, I shifted to a new town for higher studies. I was one of the many who aspired to become an engineer and was preparing for grand IIT-JEE. I started preparing for JEE alongside with my school. Although I worked hard but couldn’t convert my entrance test with my board examination.

At this point, I couldn’t make a decision whether to make another attempt or not, as I know the competition gets tougher year by year. Every year around additional ~40,000 new students gave exam alongside 4 lakh students. And even though I couldn’t convert entrance examination, I had confidence in my work. There was sheer pressure on me whether to make another attempt or not, as I was already carrying my previous unsuccessful experience. With my family support, I try again for another year. Although this time I was successfully able to clear my exams. The mantra from Mr Birla aptly implied that failure are stepping stones in our lives and we should embrace them and through this, we can make an impact despite the odds.
