PART A: Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life?
The heritage of the Aditya Birla Group goes back to a century before independence from British rule. Its foundation was laid by Shiv Narayan Birla, who started cotton trading in, Rajasthan my home state, in 1857. Since then ABG is touching lives of millions in the world through its multiple business entities.
One of its massive impact is in construction of our little homes through the UltraTech Cement which is the first choice of almost every Indian family since generations. After this they provide us safety in travelling through the Birla Carbon nanoparticles Tyre. Another big contribution of ABG is in the Public transport sector i.e. Indian Railways which is enhancing life of almost every human across India covering 29 states and 7 Union Territories and a large share of its copper requirement is fulfilled by Birla Copper.
If we talk about fashion and lifestyle one can only think of brands such as Pantaloons, People, Allen Solley, Peter England and Van Heusen. They fill the needs of different individuals through their numerous in-house brands. So much so that Planet Fashion is considered as an acronym for menswear in India.
And in connecting people Vodafone is there to make the distance disappear. I have been using Vodafone since the time I had my first phone. The company is committed to deliver delightful customer experiences and contribute towards creating a truly 'Digital India' by enabling millions of citizens to connect and build a better tomorrow.
Not only this they have been touching the lives of various people through their multi-fold CSR initiatives which they call as being ‘Big on Smiles’. ABG provides facilities of medical camps and hospitals, solar lamps, mid-day meals, immunization to children, skill training to the young.
And thus, making a difference to the life of not only privileged but ‘ALL’!
PART B: How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
Believe in yourself, take on your challenges, dig deep within yourself to conquer fears. Never let anyone bring you down. You got to keep going. - Chantal Sutherland
Talking about the challenges in my life I completely believe in the above-mentioned lines. Since childhood I was a shy kid: speaking less, not disclosing my feelings, overthinking, letting people dominate me, few friends, insomnia were my way of life. But then when I got admission in a B-school, I realised things won’t work this way. Suddenly I felt that I am a little frog who doesn’t know how to swim thrown into a deep ocean. But to not let myself drown, I started to flap my hands. When you know that there are all sharks around you, you SWIM.
I tried changing myself by talking more and more to people. Observing surroundings and learning on my own. Some self-help books and motivation from YouTube did helped. But eventually it is the energy untapped lying within you to come out. From my first embarrassing interaction with class students to achieving the best presentation award in competition. I learned everything. After being rejected for every placement company you learn crying alone at night but knowing how to make a smiling face the next morning for another interview.
How to keep yourself strong and not let anyone bring you down and ultimately conquer your fears is what you require. You just have to trust your potential and then you will SHINE.
