Aug-Sept:
Ideally, one should start giving mocks in June, but I started in August. I planned for one mock per week and worked on my weak topics. I had a set of friends with whom I used to analyze my mocks, and this was the most important aspect of the prep. I was doing fine with LRDI but was really struggling with VARC and Quant.

October:
I planned to give two mocks per week. Even after giving my best, I couldn't see any major improvement in my mock scores and was stuck. I was feeling quite low because of my prep result and regular hospital visits. Many times I used to get a thought of dropping out this year. There was a brief time of 7 days when I stopped giving mocks and it was a mistake that I could have avoided. Some of you might find yourself in this same situation, just remember that it's only a phase and it really was. I restarted my prep again.

November:
This month gave me a lot of confidence as i was able to identify questions well and manage time efficiently. I was still giving two mocks per week and the score was improving in mocks. I was able to score in 80%ile but I knew it was not sufficient. Still, in the last week, I revised my concepts and the marked QA questions. The reading habit and solving a few CAT LRDI sets were constant in this journey of 5 months.
D-day:
I was able to score decently in VARC, LRDI, and QA. However, I felt i could have done better in VARC because I missed a few easy ones.
Key Learnings:
1) Never Give up. No matter how much you score in mocks.
2) Plan your journey. Give a mock first to understand where you are now and the areas to improve.
3) Get guidance from seniors who have done it already and have a group with whom you can analyze mocks.
3) Maintain a routine and consistency in the preparation. The quality of your prep is more important than the time you are giving.
4) Start giving mocks from the start and learn from your mistakes. keep marking the important questions and concepts which you will be revising at the end.
5) Once you get the slot of your D-day, Start giving mocks in the same slot to get used to the time and mental comfort.
6) Apply to every top tier college along with CAT. Many a time, people close their options beforehand and that shouldn't be the case with you.
7) There will be a phase where you will feel stuck, Chillax. Keep doing your stuff. Remember, You have to score well on D-day and that's the only thing that matters.
8) Finally, Believe in yourself. If I can do it with all these things going, anyone can. Just follow the process, trust yourself, and don't be anxious about the end result as said by our beloved captain, M.S Dhoni.
