` Aditya Birla Group shortly called as ABG is one of India’s biggest revenue-generating conglomerate which had its by-products in the fields of metals, textiles, cement, carbon black, financial services and so on. ABG came into existence nearly two centuries back in 1857 by Late Seth Shiva Narayan Birla who is an Industrialist and also a great visionary. Birla’s are known for their initiation in Indian cotton trades, transportation of opium to China and also the jute production during the time of world war one. They actively participated in the Swadeshi movements led by Mahatma Gandhi. They provided financial support to a lot of temples and mostly they build a temple named “Laxmi Narayana” temple where all people along with Harijan's are allowed into the temple.
Since Independence, they contributed a lot to the development of the economy by establishing new industries in different fields and by creating new jobs and the educational institutes. A school which was started by them in 19 century is now India’s one of the premium college called BITS Pilani.
