As a little girl, I loved dressing up my dolls. I would spend hours finding just the right fit for my porcelain friends. I would go shopping with my mom and see scores of young girls shopping with their magic cards. As soon as I made my first penny, I knew where it would go. The day I saw the magic figures in my bank, I walked into The Collective and transferred the item from my mental wishlist to my physical wardrobe and the world was never the same again.
As soon as I put on the Ted Baker dress, I felt empowered and it wasn’t because it was my first independent purchase but also because I had finally achieved my dream. I was a part of the Ted Baker family, a global community that I could until then only see from far. Iron Man has his suit, I have my Ted Baker. It wasn’t just a garment. When I put it on, I am ready to take the world. I announce to the world that today, I am not the one to mess with.
I can’t possibly put into words the dream that Aditya Birla Group fulfilled for me. It was as if the world belonged to me. It helped me present myself through my clothes, my accessories, my shoes. The amazing feeling of having the fabric on was more than just joy. In this era of globalization when social media has changed the way we shop forever, I am thankful to every person on the ABGL Team that helped me actually own what I saw my favorite bloggers wear while I was at home. I feel like I belong to the Ted Baker Family with whom I can celebrate and enjoy my love and enthusiasm. So thank you to the ABGL team for making a twenty-two-year old’s heart flutter the same way when she bought her first Barbie as a three-year-old. That feeling will stay with me forever.
