I did my summer internship in Angel Broking, Mumbai. Since i was a fresher having no prior corporate experience, this was my first encounter into a corporate office .Angel Broking is a huge company having employees in thousands..so it was an amazing and a great learning experience getting a chance to interact with them and gain insights into their experiences and careers.

the company has nine verticals. But its not a traditional office but has a startup kind of feel with employees no  matter of what designations sitting and working together .I  was specifically  intetrested to intern in this company as i was awestruck of the way they use audio visual jds for certain job profiles.I feel that this company is very updated and in sync with the new trends emerging in the HR domain.M y selection criteria for getting into the company included a telephonic interview with the HR: campus engagement and employer branding who later on became my mentor and guide in the company.I  did a thorough reading of the company's website and got insights into the way their Human Resource department functions and  have gradually evolved over time.I also read about their competitors, about various HR roles and their technicalities.

My project was on employee engagement and required me to give a thorough reading on how GPTW organisation evaluation criteria for calculating employee engagement scores based on trust and culture audit .I got the chance to get information about their briefing criterias. I  explored the various employee engagement activities that are currently being carried out in Angel Broking based on a number of parameters.Angel Broking as a company has an amazing structured employee engagement programs and schemes to keep employees happy and satisfied.I myself got a chance to witness some of the activities during the period of my internship. one was a blood donation drive that was being conducted in the office campus in collaboration with Apollo hospitals where employees willingly participated in great numbers. Another was a stone painting competition that was sponsored by Kotak Mahindra Bank in which employees made stone arts which can be gifted to their mothers on the occassion of mothers day..

My company mentor was Ms. Sweta Sharma who was the hr head of campus engagement and employer branding.she is passionate fun loving dedicated hr professional who has an experience of 5 yrs in the field of recruitment. She was the best support system and best mentor that anyone could ask for.She helped me throughout the project and made sure that i understand the intricacies involved in my project.
