In this ever changing world it is imperative that one must adapt and move with the tide to be successful. The world around us is moving at a break neck speed and it is our responsibility to be in the lead of the changes. This applies for business conglomerates as well. There are two key factors that is absolutely necessary for any organization to become humungous: 1) Adaptability: willingness to try and execute new ideas in accordance with the trend. 2) Diversity: The hunger to enter new and diverse market and be successful while maintaining the quality in the already established fields.
There are not many organization which has achieved this status. Lots of organizations are fighting to reach this level and then there is Aditya Birla Group, which has been achieving this with ease for decades. ABG has been enjoying success for more than a century because of their steady focus on all their business and their relentless effort to deliver superior value to the customer and by extend to the society. There is almost no venture left where ABG’s presence is missing. The organization is involved in our daily life in one way or the other. From the clothes that we wear to the cement we use for our house, everything has an ABG product.
Much like everybody else, my life has been influenced my ABG in a way as well. Having worked in a telecommunication company I was directly observing the organization make enormous strides in the field. The Vodafone-Idea merger was nothing but a masterclass move from an organization known for its adaptability. The company is one of the leading players in the field. Their presence at the top has been ensured by the strategic moves that they took which were in accordance to the latest trend in the field. They were one of the first to realize the movement of telecom industry towards ICT and had changed their strategies wisely to keep up with the demand of the customers. When many age old organizations toppled unable to meet with the customers expectation, the company saw that as an opportunity to adapt and grow. That’s where the difference lies. The road to top has been difficult and there will be more challenges in the future but ABG will shine brightly because they are willing to learn and grow and they have the hunger to grow, and that’s something I will always admire.
