The Big Picture:
Aditya Birla Group is an Indian
multinational
conglomerate India. It operates in 35 countries with more than 120,000 employees worldwide.
It is part of everyone’s life in India in one way or other. Most of the people doesn’t know that PETER ENGLAND, LOUIS PHILIPPE, ALLEN-SOLLEY, VAN-HEUSEN are in-house brands of Aditya Birla Group.
As far as I have seen in corporate world one judges others personality, status by the way they dress and the brands they wear. So, these brands play a major role in the working class and as well as in colleges.
Indians trust the ULTRATECH cement so much due to the brand value Aditya Birla Group created. If we need to build a house/ or even a wall everyone unconsciously would prefer ULTRATECH cement.
Indian Railways is one of the clients of Aditya Birla Group by this statement itself we can say that Aditya Birla Group is part of those who use Railway transportation.
One of the prominent networks in India is IDEA network. Everyone in India knows the tagline for IDEA network that is “An Idea can change your life”. The network really changed many lives by making the distances between them disappear.
Coming to the point how ADITYA BIRLA GROUP touched my life:
I’m one of the them who buys clothes either the casuals or formals from the in-house brands of Aditya Birla Group as they provide high quality products with reasonable prices.
I’m one of them who buys ULTRATECH cement without any second thought for building my home.
I’m one of them who used to travel through Indian Railways.
I’m one of them who used to use the IDEA network to make the distance between me and my family disappear in all stages of my life.

Devil’s luck
My interview date for new IIM’s was on Feb 12th. I started preparing for the interviews. But on Feb 10th I fell sick and I was in no position to travel to Bangalore for the interview. I sent a mail to Administrative office that I couldn’t attend the interview on Feb 12th so if possible, change my interview date but the response was negative. I went to Bengaluru on Feb 16th requesting them to conduct my interview, but they said it’s not possible even if they conduct the interview it won’t be taken into consideration. I was so upset I called my dad told I’m sorry I couldn’t make it. My dad told don’t worry will find a way out. As my dad suggested I went and met one of his friends in Bengaluru. I explained him about the situation. He assured me we did nothing wrong so everything will be alright. If I need to attend the interview, I need to get the permission from the admission office Ranchi, but I got my
IIM K interview on Feb 18th so I can’t travel to Ranchi get permission and attend the interview. So, we decided to call everyone of our friends near Ranchi and see if we can get any help. Luckily uncle’s friend relative is an IAS officer in Calcutta who was an IIM alumnus. He responded quickly and sent someone to Ranchi to speak with Administrative Office and then they allowed me to take the interview once I submitted my medical certificate.
I wasn’t sure whether the interview in for the name sake or is it considered. But then I got admission letter from IIM Ranchi and I’m not sure what to say other than devil’s luck. The main thing I learned from my story is that NETWORKING is an important asset in one's life.
