It was in the February of 2019 that I received an email that would change my life forever. Well, maybe I’m being a tad bit dramatic, but it was a Call letter for an Interview at a B-School, which to me was especially a big deal since it was going to be my first important interview. I started my preparations in full force, reading every business article I could get my hands on, tiding up my communication skills, spending all my time trying to learn something new that I could use on the day to show my potential.
It is norm to go to a B-school interview in full formal attire. Growing up in ripped jeans and loose tees, it was safe to say that I in fact did not own any decent formal wear. So, one fine morning, I dragged my mother with me to the biggest shopping mall near my house in search of the perfect set of blazer and pants. That day I bought a blazer, might I add it fit like a dream, from ‘Allen Solly Women’. This blazer, a simple piece of clothing ended up giving me so much confidence, not merely because of the way I looked when I wore it but because of the way I felt, competent and self-assured.
This is just one example of how the Aditya Birla Group has impacted my life positively. Idea Cellular and the Pantaloons services warrant many more such small stories, but I’ll finish with just praise.
