PART A: Food to Frock
“MA, the food every day turns out to be cold by the time I eat. Why can’t you just wrap it up in an Aluminum Foil?” said I to my mother. I was really accurate about the food I eat, the dress I wear and the house in which I stay. Since childhood, there is a saying in Bangla “Hole TATA BIRLA r moto hobi” which literally translates to if you want to become big become like TATA and BIRLA. Freshwrap, a brand which speaks a lot because it uses to keep my tiffin hot during my school, college and office days. A brand which I needed no matter where ever I am. Dresses use to attract me a lot but yes coming from a humble middle-class background going for way too fancy brands wasn’t the need of an hour. But ABG defined what brand is in the form of Pantaloons. No matter what the occasion is it a birthday, Durga Puja, Christmas or Holi the dress was from Pantaloons. The huge collections at affordable prices made shopping very sweet. The brands like Van Heusen, Allen Solly, forever 21 made my closet look diverse in terms of collection. Finally, I am very precise about the way all the house repairs are being done. The name synonymous with cement was Ultratech. The brand which they created made every household in this country fall in love with ABG. ABG not only made our lives easy and happy with their range of global brands but also made our country proud in the global stage.
PART B: Work hard, Success will automatically come
ABGLP is one of the finest leadership programs in India. The elite minds from the top B Schools join this program every year to become India’s finest leaders. But do you know every corporate leader faces innumerable challenges everyday which they need to tackle? Challenges which are unforeseen and finally challenges which if taken a wrong decision can lead up to a loss in every aspect possible. Having lost my father at a very tender age I knew how tough life was. From school to college whatever thing I faced was dealt deftly by my mother and I. I knew I had to become successful and prove myself that I am not here to be just another brick in the wall.
I studied with utmost attention and sincerity and scored above 90% in both 10thand 12th. I studied engineering with full scholarship from Government of West Bengal and became the silver medalist in the University. Apart from studies, I participated in many extra-curricular activities and also was the event head of Techfiesta and Core Committee member of Arcadia for two consecutive years. I was also awarded the Dewang Mehta Achievers award for overall excellence by NASSCOM. Leadership was already therein me since childhood as I led my school and college to many glories.
After completing my engineering, I was one of the candidates from college to get two offers from campus. I decided to join TCS. I excelled in my workplace and also awarded by the Client for the excellent delivery of a project. I use to manage studies along with my word and scored a decent percentile in CAT and got admission into one of the prestigious B Schools of the country.
Leadership, Communication, Team Player are the attributes which I have in me which are in lines with the skills required for the ABGLP. And finally, success is sweet when it earned hard.
