My Journey – Manideep#IIM TRICHY
Challenges are part of everyday life. We need to face the challenges rather than backing off because that develops our character and get to know about ourselves.
I have faced many challenges in my life. One of the main challenge was to leave my home for higher studies as I was pampered a lot. I faced a lot of difficulties in the start, but I realized that my comfort zone is my weakness and to achieve big in life we must always come out of our comfort zones. This made me stay positive, get adaptable to situations and surroundings.
I got placed in a MNC and worked for three years, after two years of my work I realized that one should possess managerial skills along with the technical skills to grow and sustain. This prompted me to do MBA from one of the B Schools. I had given a attempt for CAT in 2017. I got a good score but was unable to cross the sectional cutoff in English. Coming from a rural background I was weak in English. So, I decided to work hard to improve my English.
But Things turned other way, I was working in an industry which is at their ramp up stage. So, we had to work 12 hours a day often sacrificing for weekly offs. But, I decided that I should be clearing CAT at any cost. So, I took out at least one hour every one day to prepare for English. I used to read newspapers during my journey. Finally, all the efforts paid off and I made it to IIM Trichy.
