While writing about the mighty Aditya Birla Group, the first question that comes to my mind is “Where do I start?”. I will start with a product that came into the market just a month after my birth, Idea cellular. I have no Idea why it took me 16 years to get my hands on this amazing network. And the fact that it helped me through my graduation in both gaining knowledge via the world wide web and maintain good connectivity with friends and family thanks to its stable network.
Idea more like “!dea” and its catchy one liners, not only attracted millions of uses but also inspired many. The likes of “What an Idea Sirji”, ”No Idea?......Get Idea 3G!!” etc. were just mind blowing. The fact that people brought in these phrases at regular conversations, shows how deep this campaign went into the audience’s hearts. The one that inspired me was the walk and talk promotion. It was mind blowing and also helped me get fit in a safe manner.
I am a product of one of the greatest institutes in India and a product of the mighty GD Birla’s legacy and Birla trust, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani). Before joining this place, I knew that Aditya Birla Group is the mightiest thanks to my parents and grandparents telling me “Invest wherever you want for good returns but work for the Birlas to help the world and to gain and maintain moral values”. The college helped me stand where I am today.
After seeing their brands such as Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Louis Philippe, etc. which belong to Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, it is just right to call the group the best at giving products with a variety of designs at superior quality. The one best thing about ABFRL is that you won’t have any issue with the number of choices and designs available. They just cater us with the design of our choice. ABG’s infrastructure is considered the best in the business by many.
I did it My Way
I, Thejaswi come from a family of 4 hailing from Hyderabad. As my father works in a transferrable job I got exposed to different people with different ideas and thought processes. This helped me gain a different perspective on life. Most of those places I lived in were villages and towns. I was used to interacting with people with pure heart and frank mindset during which I was double promoted for my advanced knowledge in many subjects including mathematics.
But with us moving to different places continuously, it felt hard for me to adapt to the surroundings and to the people immediately. Bullying became a factor. But the mindset and the perspectives that I gained and possessed at that time helped me scope the issue out and mingle with the people everywhere. That is where I started to push and challenge myself. I started to learn a new thing every day. And without learning something new, be it people, things, etc. I wouldn’t rest. The concept of “no learning no resting” actually helped me cope with changes that I went through every couple of years and gave me a fluid and adaptive mindset that helped me over the next few years. That actually made me a good listener and a critical thinker. My time at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus actually helped me boost and update my mindset to accommodate an open-minded approach.
During my career at Fluentgrid Limited (the firm where I worked), I have initially worked on front end development for a while before being entrusted with the end-to-end development of the dashboard, despite my non-technical background. This touches all the modules of the product functionally and involves coding techniques that are not familiar to me. I used the same modular approach while tackling the design and implementation parallelly. This has been a major challenge that I have overcome successfully thanks to my experience in the past that helped me approach anything with an open mind and an unbiased perspective.
