I started my management education journey approximately a month ago when I received an admit from TAPMI. It was excitement mixed with bouts of anxiety. Anxiety regarding academics, pace of life, expectations and outcomes. At the root of my anxiety lied one question- How will I cope with these new uncertainties in life?
But when you look at Aditya Birla Group, they have been acing this question for more than a century. With changes in times, especially after independence of India, ABG has surpassed expectations and produced outcomes. The next natural question- How did they do it?
I got my answer when I looked at the underlying values of the organization. That’s where they cracked it. They got the BASICS right. Speed, Commitment, Integrity, Seamlessness, the Aditya Birla way. All of this driven by passion.
That is how I have acquired a new direction to think and get my BASICS right for my two years of management education experience and beyond.
