Aditya Birla group has been an integral part of our lives. Be it apparels or any consumer products, Aditya Birla group has been a name to reckon with. Started in 1857 by Shri Seth Shiv Narayan Birla, his vision and clarity in thoughts had certainly been successful in creating a legacy that we know as Aditya Birla Group.
Since childhood, I have been in a small city of Dhanbad. Brands of Aditya Birla Group was certainly far from my reach during my childhood. Reaching my adult age, I got to know about the different brands of apparel from Aditya Birla Group, its cement, fertilizers, carbon black, chemicals; etc.
I remember the day when we planned constructing our home, and we had to decide on the brand of the cement used. No other name came to my mind apart from Ultra tech cement. The brand itself signifies trust.
There is no way one can avoid apparel from any brands that come under Aditya Birla group be it Van Heusen, Peter England, Allen Solly, Louis Philippe. My preference has always been Van Heusen when it comes to formal shirts and trousers. I recently bought a Peter England suit for formal wear. The fabric quality is superb. And Louis Philippe casual shirts are always special to me, my first gift from a special person has been a Louis Philippe shirt.
The passion, commitment and sense of human care of this huge conglomerate has certainly added value and purpose to our lives.
HOW YOU OVERCAME CHALLENGES TO ACHIEVE YOUR AMBITIONS IN LIFE SO FAR
Live should always be lived forward, and never backward. That is the way my life journey has been so far. Life offers you a plethora of events, some happy and some disappointing. My life has not been an exception though.
There comes a lot of challenges in life, and should always remember that it is not a stop sign, but it is something that provides you the guideline. Facing challenges and overcoming them defines the true character of the individual. I have always been positive towards facing challenges.
I remember the time after my class ten board exams, the level of expectations my parents had on me. And my low performance was nowhere near their expectation. I knew my mistakes, I knew I needed more time for myself in order to excel academics. So, I changed my school for the next two years, went to a nearby school. This helped me to garner much more personal time which I could dedicate for my studies and personal enhancement. It was not easy at that teenage time, with lots of distraction trying to prick into your head; to prioritize your studies and all the extracurricular activities. But the pain and hard work had been my catalyst for happiness. And the result didn't disappoint me. I could still remember the priceless smile on my parents face when my class twelve board exam results came up, and I was declared the school topper. This had certainly proved something, you can achieve anything that you can think.
This was not the only instance. When I joined an IT company, my first-month performance was not up to the mark, and managers scrutinized me for my efforts. But I didn't let that bog down my confidence. I tried to learn from my peers, gave some extra time in office and learned the required technology. From then on, I received Seven "On the Spot" award from my project lead for my outstanding contribution to the team.
So as far challenges are concerned, they have always taught me to move in the correct direction and has given me the confidence to face any difficulties in future endeavours.
