Aditya Birla Group , an Indian conglomerate spread in over 35 countries with 120,000 employees and operating in 13 different industry segment ranging from branded garments to Telecom and Carbon Black to aluminium. Since its inception ABG has been striving to deliver the best in class to the society. You name it and ABG has the best of all for you. Allen Solly , Louis Philippe , Pantaloons , Peter England , and Van heusen are among the most renowned brands which people mostly prefer than the products of other brands in the same sector and these brands haven't just moulded the way the garment industry operates but has brought in a new fashion statement not just to my life . but also my family’s and friend’s alike.
Having brought up in a small town "Ratlam" with no "Mall Culture" , i was never exposed to the premium brands that ABG offered until i moved to Mumbai to pursue my Graduation in 2012. The first thing that caught my eye was the most beautiful standing testimony " Bandra Worli Sea Link" that clearly signified the BIG impact ABG has in making India beautiful while connecting two sides of Mumbai through sea.
Pantaloons was the first store i entered and was stunned to see the quality and wide range of brands i could shop from , this reaction was normal as for a guy like me who had a first hand experience to a shopping mall , finally experiencing " window shopping culture" as well :D and since then i have been a loyal customer of Pantaloons. Van heusen and Allen Solly were the other two companions in filling up my bags to start my journey at T.A.Pai Management Institute , Manipal.
So just like ABG group says , BIG is microscopic , they continue to build on these microscopic things and make it BIG for people in and around them by undertaking various CSR activities and focusing on Sustainability Development. The group has transcended its boundaries and worked for those whom they care about, through the welfare driven activities in about 5000 villages. With its motto of social inclusion, it has raised its CSR investments to over Rs. 500 crores, while affecting the lives of countless men, women, and children.
For me , as an individual , ABG has inspired me to keep going , the pace maybe slower than others but what's important is to living by the values and understand what we are here for.
