Overcoming challenges:
The biggest challenge I have had to face in my life to date is a decision regarding whether I should pursue a management course after working for three years.
All of this began in 2016 when I just had completed my engineering and had just stepped into the corporate life. Everything was new and exciting and I was eager to make my mark at my organization.
I started enjoying work and everything was good. I had money, good friends and an amazing city to live in. What else could you ask for? As time started to pass I started feeling the itch of not living up to my potential and decided I wanted to do an MBA. I tanked my first two attempts and decide to give it one final attempt. I scored a decent percentile and got a call from IIM Ranchi and was able to convert their prestigious HR program. Now here is where my dilemma began on the one end, I was getting congratulatory messages and on the other, I was frozen with fear. The fear of the unknown. I had been working for three years and didn't know if I could go back into the education system. Reaching out to seniors at the college helped and people with the same scenarios gave me a new perspective.
I finally decided to join IIM Ranchi and I can say today with a single shred of doubt that it is the best decision of my life. I have been here only a couple of weeks but the people here are amazing. The talented people I have met in such a short time has left me amazed and wanting to achieve more in my personal life. I truly feel that what I learn in my classes prepares me to make an impact on my life while also helping those around me.
Believe me when I say IIM Ranchi is the place to be. To all the people out there who face a similar fear let me just say ‘'Let go of your fears, take the plunge and you will see a whole new world".
