The group was founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857. The group has interests in viscose staple fibre, metals, cement (largest in India), viscose filament yarn, branded apparel, carbonblack, chemicals, fertilisers, insulators, financial services, telecom, BPO and IT services. The product that has had an impact on my life the most is UltraTech Cement Ltd. It possesses the idea of providing people a shelter that is true to its word i.e robust, resistant and reliable.India’s largest cement company with over 6 million homes built with cement from UltraTech each year.This shows peoples trust in Aditya Birla Group. Apart from the that Aditya Birla Group has a fashion and retail industry which is used by me on a daily basis.
One of the biggest challenges I faced in my life was when I was not able to get placed during my undergrad course. I’ve had many more challenges afterwards , but that incident has shaped me and given me a great lesson. Being in an engineering college, the rigorous curriculum and placement activities, it took a toll on me. Even though my grades were good and despite clearing all aptitude tests for companies I couldnt crack any interviews. I was getting rejected every single time. At that moment i decided that either I can give up or put my head down and move forward, try to become a better candidate and work on my skills. I couldn’t tell my parents about it else she would fret, which was the last thing I wanted. I realised only I could help myself.After 8 months of hard work and perseverence for me to get into a core job at Nokia . I was the happiest person there could be. This taught me a valuable lesson in life to never give up despite how hard the road ahead seems to be, to always believe in yourself and continue to work even harder.
