Aditya Birla Group is not just a brand name for me, it is a name that invokes nostalgia and emotions in my heart. As I live in Gurgaon, I have always been fascinated by one store which is like a dream place for me – Pantaloons. With a wide range of clothing brands available under one roof, Pantaloons is not a store with only clothes. It has all the things a girl can dream of and I am no exception. While ABG has fulfilled my fashion fantasies, it has also helped my family in getting our daily needs. The More supermarket located just behind our society was such a relief when groceries were out of stock in our home. Picking up the basket and filling it with all the necessary and unnecessary things because everything in the store looked so appealing is a memory that is still fresh in my mind. Watching ads of UltraTech cement and recalling the words exactly said in the ads was such a fun thing to do for me and my cousins. I can recall the day when I first bought my blazer and trouser from Allen Solly, how I looked in the mirror and saw a transformation in me in the trial room. I felt more confident and never imagined that formals could be so comfortable. From my childhood to the day I grew up to be a woman wearing blazers and trousers, ABG has been a part of my journey taking multiple forms and changing me for the better.
My life has been full of challenges so far, but I think challenges make life exciting. In video games, we tend to get satisfaction when we complete a challenge and satisfaction is what I get when I overcome a challenge. When I was in the last year of my engineering college, I had the major challenge of managing my time. I wanted to keep my CGPA highest and get a good score in CAT. I wanted to spend time with my family at home and with friends in college. I wanted to write stories and poems as part of my hobby, and I wanted to write research papers for my projects. With so many things to do and so less time, I believed in my capability to prioritize things and leave what was not important. I accepted the fact that I am not a superhuman and I focused on things that were more important to me. I focused on things that were “once in a lifetime opportunity” which would never knock at the door of my life again. I think that when time is less and work is more, one should decide what not to do or what to do later before deciding what to do first. When I learned to prioritize things, my results began to improve. I hold a 9.7 CGPA in my engineering college and I am doing MBA in XIMB Bhubaneswar, I think I overcame my challenge quite well and will continue to do so in the future.
