Aditya Birla Group touches millions in the world with its presence in 35 countries. It is unlikely that an individual has never used a product, or travelled on a road or visited a site where ABG has not contributed in some way. Its presence in one’s life is massive.
I was gifted my first mobile phone on my 16th birthday. In order to connect to the world from my first phone, I needed a sim. My father suggested I go for Idea, which was the sim brand everyone at my family used. I still use the same contact number and ABG has helped me connect to my family, friends and the whole world.
For me personally, ABG has been an emotion, an integral part of my life journey. I still remember when I was around 17 years old and we moved to our new home. I accompanied my father to our new home when the construction was in progress. In addition, I used to see bags of yellow coloured sacks with the name Ultra Tech Cement written on it. At that time, I did not know that ABG was the parent company of Ultra Tech and it played an integral part in developing my home, which is not just a building but also an emotion for me.
When I started going to college, I became brand conscious in order to dress to impress. After a lot of research, experiment and trial, I zeroed down on Peter England. Since then, it has been a relationship of more than 5 years with Peter England and ABG as well. It has been an integral part of my appearance.
With a diversified range of products in different categories all across the globe, ABG has lived up to the mission of Taking India to the World.
Part B:-
It is easy to dream. But it is very difficult to work towards fulfilling your dream. I dreamt of joining a top B-school some day and left a full time corporate job in order to pursue my dream. I worked alone, worked hard. There were times when it was very difficult as people who promised to stand by, walked out one by one. I used to study on my own. After all, it was my dream, and I should be the one working towards it. I worked day and night sometimes up to 12-14 hours a day and finally appeared for CAT 2018 and XAT 2018. After the examination was over, I knew I had done decently and definitely better than my last attempt. When the results were out, I was delighted to see a score of 98.52 in XAT. There were tears of joy in my eyes and my father who always knew I could do it was overjoyed too. After the results, I prepared for the interviews and finally converted IMT Ghaziabad where I am currently pursuing PGDM-Marketing. Dreams do come true, if we work towards them.
