PART A:

Footprints of ABG in my life

I was introduced to ABG right from my childhood. I cluelessly used to watch the telemarketing ads of ABG without knowing the day to day life changing role it plays in people’s lives. The fascinating ads of companies like Ultratech cement has always entertained my childhood. It was only when I grew up and decided to venture into the field of marketing that I realized the impact this giant industry had throughout my life.

As a child I have always watched my father putting his trust on ULTRATECH CEMENT for any construction work taking place in my house. During my teenage when I got my first mobile phone it was IDEA that provided me with strong connectivity at cheaper rates. The discount for Idea customers at “KBC ghar beythe jeeto” was the best added perk of Idea that me and my family always enjoyed. Buying a T-shirt for my dad from PETER ENGLAND for the first time with my scholarship money, is a memory that I will always cherish. Unconventionally the PANTALOONS mall near my college always provided a shelter from scorching sun to the young wandering mind of an engineer. Thus, undoubtedly it was the only place I visited for buying my college clothes. With time as I evolved more as a woman, brands like  LIVA and FOREVER 21 took over the major share of my closet. Time came when I had to take the next big and the most important step in life which began with giving interviews for my MBA colleges, and ALLEN SOLLY was my natural choice for getting the suit which would best represent me at the interviews.

Today when I look back and connect all these dots, I see a crystal-clear image of the magnitude of the impact ABG made in my life. In other words, it has been and will continue to be the BIG in my life.

PART B:

Moving mountains of my own life

I am a rebel. But not a rebel without a cause. The years of establishing morals, ideals and overcoming challenges has made me what I am now. As a child my biggest challenge was the social issue of bullying. I faced it since the very beginning of my school days. Everyday in the school was a challenge. Almost broken, I would have given up. But it was only because of the support and motivation from my parents and family that I decided to face the problem. I started diverging my anger into productive work like studying, competitions, extra-curriculars, etc. Slowly my work started bearing fruits and I started to get limelight for all the achievements I was getting. Eventually, the people who used to bully me now wanted to make friends with me. Today, I have successfully managed to change those nightmare like memories into something that only makes me stronger.

Growing up as a teenager had its own pros and cons. The cons included the pressure of fitting into groups, body image issues(the biggest one) and peer pressure. Some of this might sound very trivial now but were mountains for a teenaged girl. Although all of it was pretty intimidating during early phases, I soon realized that the only way to overcome this was to not loose my cool and focus on things that really matter. Communication played a significant role. I started talking to people about my issues and gradually they also started sharing their insecurities. This gave me solutions to overcome my inhibitions and look things from a different perspective. Which I did and became the “Shero” of my own teenage self.

I have always tried to be active in both academic and non-academic fronts. While I was in Engineering, I joined the SPARKS annual fest core committee and also as a part time tutor in Nerdy Academy. I joined an online course in NPTEL too and started juggling my life among all these. Yes there were cloudy days when I wanted to quit but the shear will power I had never let me do so. There was also tremendous support from my family and friends. Everyone has their own mountains and I have been moving mine since my childhood.
