Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life
I am sure everyone in India would have found themselves in a situation wherein they made use of an Aditya Birla Group product or service unknowingly and then later realized it to bear the shining red sun ABG logo. I am no stranger to this and as defined in the ABG logo “Crisscrossing sunbeams refracting multi-dimensional facets of the group like a prism”, I have had the pleasure of associating myself with the plethora of offerings by ABG.
It is still refreshing to ponder about the Idea cellular ad of ‘Walk and Talk’ and it becoming a colloquial phrase and the new way of exercise for many including my mom and dad. When I first moved into my graduation college in Chandigarh, it was not late before I was informed that Idea cellular was the only network that would sustain in the plush green campus situated in the heart of the city.
Soon it was time to purchase the first pair of formals to face the graduation events and corporate world and I found myself in a fix to choose between Allen Solly and Van Heusen. After a lot of deliberation, I went for Peter England and was a proud brand ambassador of the ABG brand. During the renovation of my house, while discussing with the mason for the cement options, I, being an engineer in the making, promptly opted for Ultratech - “The Engineer’s Choice”.
My fondest memories of my corporate life were the daily visits to More Mega Store, Sohna Road, Gurgaon. I could proudly boast about sharing the same office building with one of the biggest ‘More’ stores in India. The store was nothing less than a continent within itself with offerings in all domains along with killer deals all through the year. The simple answer to any product required under the sun for me and my colleagues was “Chalo More Chalein!”. The great experience would not be complete without a special mention to the hospitality extended by the store employees who would answer our queries for the same product everyday with utmost humility. It truly resonated the ABG values. Moreover, I could relate much more deeply with ‘More’ after a call from XIMB, with Mr Kampani, XIMB alum, in command of ABG Retail. Furthermore, Aditya Birla Health Insurance was my first personal protection and coverage offered at my workplace.
The rays of the bright sun of ABG logo have already traveled a long distance untiringly and the path ahead is long, thanks to Quality and Optimism being at the core of the group’ values.
