Aditya Birla Group put Indian business on the global stage, a whopping 22 years before economic liberalization was formally introduced in our country. Today, it is a US $44.3 billion corporation spanning across 34 countries across the globe. For an organization with such a wide reach, the extent of its worldwide impact is just unimaginable!
However, at a micro level, the influence of Aditya Birla Group is slightly easier to describe, as it comes from my own personal experiences. I still remember being scolded for never finishing my tiffin-box in school. The rotis used to become too dry to swallow after siting in my tiffin-box for the entire half of the school hours. Although, this changed dramatically, when my mother started wrapping those same rotis in Freshwrapp aluminium foil. The rotis weren’t dry anymore! They stayed soft and fresh, even after those several hours till break-time. Thereafter, my tiffin-boxes were always empty!
I also remember as a kid, being excited to roam in aisles full of colorful boxes, cans, packets of chips, biscuits and what not. Who knew I could find grocery shopping enjoyable! Helping mom and dad in grocery shopping was not just a chore; it was much More. Also, for my parents, More was a one stop shop and also significantly better, cheaper and more convenient than any other shop.
Apart from that, during the interior renovation of our home, I remember my dad specifically asking the contractor to use Ultratech Cement for all the brickwork and tiles. Being an Engineer, it was an obvious Choice for him. He wanted the best quality of work which will stay for years to come.
Thus, the variety of brands under Aditya Birla Group, touch the lives of many other people every single day, just like they did for me.
