From bringing small changes to BIG ones, Aditya Birla Group has not only affected my life but of million others in different ways. Coming to my story, I belong to the city of Joy, Kolkata. I always kept wondering why it is called so. It had been so that the place where I lived in was a remote area and it seemed like there was no sign of “Joy”. Most of us in that area had relatives living in other areas and not being in contact with them was the lacuna which gave rise to sorrow. Additionally, the place being underdeveloped gave no joy to people either.
This is where Aditya Birla Group played a big role in all of our lives and in others lives who were in a similar situation. From building proper roads and buildings (courtesy: UltraTech Cement) to setting up Idea towers in an area like ours, it truly proved its tagline i.e., an idea can change your life. Well, it did change mine and I was starting to see the glimpse of that “joy” people were always talking about. I cannot forget to mention how they helped change the mindset of people by simply setting up a Pantaloons store and assisted people to cope with the western culture coming in. All of these things put together, Aditya Birla Group showed us a different life altogether. Last but not the least, my father had a small Asian Paints store in the village and what is paint without cement.
