PART B- How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life
Our ability to handle life's challenges is a measure of our strength of character – Les Brown
Born in a family where the initial challenge was to get quality education I had got support from my parents who took a stand for me and sent me to good school. The immense supports I get from them encourage me to fight against all odds and believe in myself.
I faced next challenge when I had decided to prepare for CAT along with the job. I need to complete the task on time, live up to my supervisor’s expectation and prepare for MBA entrance at the same time. People used to say to me that preparation for an exam like CAT and job can’t go hand in hand and at some point in my life I used to think they are right, but believe in yourself was taught to me.
Self-belief and dedication helped me sail through this challenge. I used a simple technique to prepare a time table and follow it religiously. This not only helped me to take out ample amount of time for CAT preparation but also taught me to strike work-life balance and setting up the priorities.
But, easier said than done!!! I found some really helpful teachers to support and guide me in my tough times. Sometimes my parents played the role of my mentor and sometimes my teachers.
I sailed through the challenges with the weapon of self-belief and guiding force of my mentors and landed in IIM Ranchi.
