Since childhood we have known the three big Indian Conglomerates, namely, Tata, Birla & Ambani to have touched the lives of common man due to its traditional Indian ethos. Prior to liberisation of Indian Economy in early 1990’s, Birla group has been one of the few MNC’s having operations in India.
Aditya Birla group has grown its products and market in various segments in India expanding from Metal, telecommunications, clothing, chemicals to education sector which it has inherited from its parent Birla group. All through my school life I have been living with friends studying in Aditya Birla Public School. The values inculcated during their school life has spoken a lot about their characters in their future life.
Living together in the same society, I had always admired the attitude they imbibed for any problem solving. I consider oneself lucky to have spent childhood with such group of people who inspired me to work towards the development of economically poor strata of society. The activities I delved in to serve in old age homes after school were all driven by my friends who had the confidence and passion instilled in them from their school learnings.
Institutions, Government and people across the globe is concerned about the drastic impact of effluent and gas emissions from plants causing the climate imbalance. Aditya Birla’s HINDALCO, a prominent leader in Aluminum production has planted trees in vast stretches in Renukoot, Uttar Pradesh in order to minimise its carbon footprint. Aditya Birla is making impact on many lives by fulfilling its obligation towards it’s people, us.
Having grown alongside friends having high inclivity towards delivering to the society, I have imbibed a sense of duty on my part as well. I have continuously engaged oneself with the mission of serving the society through educating the underprivileged students. Taking cue from the childhood practical learnings, I take initiative in spreading the importance of Digital literacy in association with Digital Literacy Mission.
Also, it is matter of great concern that the calamities stike down every other part of nation through out the year, be it be Drought, Floods, Cloud Burst, Landslide or Earth quake. Recent floods in Kerala or the havoc created by cyclone Fani has left my families in despair for life. I have been involved in fundraising activities for these natural calamities. Howsoever, any help extended cannot be enough to justify the loss of lives.
Aditya Birla group has helped instill in me a sense of responsiveness towards the problems prevailing in this society. Although not being directly enrolled in the ABP School, I have imbibed the ethos and values which is integral part of ABPS learning. Coming forward to act in order to implement my thoughts or ideas required an imaginary push which ABG has helped me with. ABG has played a crucial role in this metamorphosis in me from being a observer to an active worker.
As rightly said, learning never stops, I look forward to develop a magnamious attitude towards providing solutions to problems prevailing in our society in all spheres of lfe they can be touched upon. ABG's commitment towards serving society keeping the Indian values and culture integral to its working, has created impact to touch the lives of many others like me and there lies truth in the popular saying -
Laharo se dar kar nauka paar nhi hoti,
Kosis karne walo ki kbhi haar nhi hoti.
