It was October 5th, 2015.

It was an important day as I was facing my first job interview.

I was a final year engineering student and was going to attend an interview at the college.

I wore my freshly pressed Allen Solly suit, packed my resume and other necessary documents and started from home on my bike.

The Bangalore weather was at its usual self - unpredictable. It was lightly raining. I waited for the rains to stop and started on my way to college.

The roads were muddy due to the recent rains. I was careful while riding as I didn't want to dirty my dress before attending the interview

But thanks to Murphy's law. A car overtook me, hit a pothole and splashed all the muddy water onto my trousers.

I cursed my luck and reached my college with slightly drenched trousers. I rushed to the nearest washroom and examined the damage. The bottom parts of the trousers were wet and had muddy stains on them.

I running out of time and had no idea how to get out of my predicament. I poured a bit of tap water and tried to brush the stains using a handkerchief. Luckily the stains vanished by the time I brushed it the 3rd time.

I came out of the washroom and attended the pre-placement talk by the interviewing company. Shortly afterward I was called for the interview. It was then I noticed that my trousers had no trace of the stains and it looked like it was freshly pressed with no wrinkles.

With a smile on my face, I confidently strode into the interview with my head held high.

It was Allen Solly that saved the day. The clothing spoke the high standards and quality that Aditya Birla Group (ABG) stands for. It saved my face when I was attending my interview. The single most important point in my career.

Had it not been Alley Solly, the day would have ended very differently. The trajectory of my career would have spaned out on a very different path.

I'm extremely thankful to ABG and Allen Solly for it was their product that saved the day. It was the 162 years of ABG's legacy, their high ethos, their high-quality clothing that gave me the necessary confidence to attend the interview after having faced a messy debacle.
