The history of Aditya Birla Group is a century old one, which dates back to 1857. Since then, it has expanded itself to 14 industry sectors ranging from apparel industry to cement industry with a customer base spanning across 35 countries.
In India, the ABG group's products are perceived to be of the highest quality and good value for money.
Aditya Birla Group has been part and parcel of my life either directly or indirectly. Right after I secured a campus placement during my undergraduate days, the first thing my father did was to take me to a Pantaloons Store to buy workwear. Since then Pantaloons has been my first choice for Indian workwear clothing. My association with ABG continued when I chose Allen
Solly for business formals or when I chose Idea to be my preferred network for its superior network coverage.
ABG's group vision and values have something for everyone to learn from. A company's value is enhanced based on the amount of CSR they do. ABG group continues to inspire everyone with their focus on CSR programs.
To conclude, Integrity, Commitment, Passion, Seamlessness and, Speed go a long way in shaping up the life of an individual or the success of a company. ABG group has rightly incorporated all of these in the right amount to stand out amongst the rest and be successful.
My journey to IIM Ranchi
From being a daughter of a simple middle-class family to being a daughter-in-law of a fantastic family to pursuing MBA from IIM Ranchi, my journey so far has been phenomenal
with a lot of struggles and equally sweet memories.
Right after my marriage, I announced to my family that I would be taking CAT. I received immense support both from my husband, parents and in-laws. But, I was skeptical about my abilities and had a lot of questions on my mind.
One was whether I would be able to stay away from my husband for two full years and whether I would be able to handle the stereotypes that society could pose.
And the second, was how well would I manage my CAT Preparation alongside my full-time job and household chores, along with frequent trips to my hometown.
But my interest and passion for pursuing an MBA , along with the support of my family helped me overcome the dilemmas, though I had to burn the midnight oil during my preparation.
Ultimately, I scored well in the exam, which fetched me good B-School interview calls and ended up in IIM Ranchi.
And yeah, I was wearing Allen Solly all the time for the interviews.
ABG Group’s core values of commitment and passion have indirectly influenced me and helped me achieve my goal. They will continue to inspire me in the years to come.
