Why the Aditya Birla group is big in my life
The Aditya Birla Group, a group that has got widespread recognition since its inception not only nationally but also internationally. The business conglomerate of India is US$ 44.3 billion corporations which covers around 20 odd countries and an employee strength of 120000. Headed by Mr. Kumar Mangalam who is the chairman of the company, the company has got a lot of recognition and rewards for their superb performance in various sectors of society. They have been a great market player since their inception.
I have always my father as my inspiration since my very early days. I have always looked up to him in every situation. A true gentleman by nature, but an individual’s dressing sense and behavioral aspects make him a gentleman. He has been quite choosy and particular about his dress collection. Peter England and Van Heusen being his first preference always. These two brands are now my in-preference list too as an upcoming manager. Apart from that my father is in the industrial sector and Aditya Birla group is the top player there. Starting from chemicals (Aditya Birla Chemicals), cement (Ultratech and Grasim) and Hindalco., they are everywhere. Hindalco has changed the face of the Indian industry market with its various products and supported Indian infrastructure. HAAL is a market leader. Now they are the largest producer of carbon black worldwide.
Even during the construction of our house, we used the Ultratech cement, and who else can better know the performance of an Aditya Birla product than someone who has personally used it and known its value. We all know how important Idea has been in the 4G market. With the idea of “walk and talk”, they captured the cellular market and dominated it for a long time. Even when I started using my first phone I went for Idea and was quite overwhelmed with the 3G data services. During my training period I came across the educational training institutes like Aditya Birla Rural Technological parks, Aditya Birla CSR Centre of excellence as they have been focusing on education through Aditya Birla Vidya foundation. They are into the insurance sector too. As a steel plant employee, my father has got his health insurance with Birla Sun life insurance. As a finance enthusiast, we do look up to Aditya Birla money, the top online share broker in India.
Whether be it my father’s choice of dresses or be the construction of our house or may it be any other thing, Aditya Birla group has been a part and partial of my life. Even my sister prefers Planet Fashion for her dresses and so does many other people in India where we find a lot of variety. I personally prefer buying casuals from there. Not only me everybody would have had an experience with Aditya Birla at least once in their life. With a great mission vision, this group has done a lot for our country affecting every society and every section of people. The ethical values they stick to give a great message to the society. The “Green Idea initiative” they have come up with aims at reducing the carbon consumption levels and keeping our environment clean.
With all these aspects of The Aditya Birla group, they have a great market leader and will continue to make name for many more years to come.
Born and brought up in a middle-class family, I was just like every other Indian boy. With a pretty ordinary lifestyle, I grew up in my home town, Rourkela. “Taking my father as my inspiration” was one of the best decisions I ever made. As any other boy would be fascinated by cricket, I am quite fond of cricket since my childhood days. Even started dreaming of being a cricketer. My father supported me a lot. Early in the mornings he would wake me up, take me to the cricket camp on his bicycle, wait there till I am done and then bring me back home. This thing continued for a long time. Since when I was a child, I have been quite afraid of being alone. And to that after getting several injuries with the deuce ball during my early days, it made me quite afraid of the deuce ball. But my father made me gain confidence. He has been there with me in every phase of my life. And amongst all these things, my academic growth as a student never stopped. My father taught me “how to manage sports and academics”, as a result of which I overcame my fear and was selected for U-16 Odisha.
With time I came across many different phases of life. Never left cricket even in tough situations, although the fear of failing was always there. I took up Engineering and went all the long way to down south Vishakhapatnam to pursue my career in engineering and cricket. Although even then I was quite nervous about the new place and a new start to my career, I was quite hopeful about it. My studies and practice went hand in hand. I got the chance to represent my university (JNTU, Kakinada). From being a timid lean guy afraid of being injured off the deuce ball to being a professional cricketer, I have come a long way.
Presently in one of the prestigious B-schools in India, I was an engineer and me as an upcoming manager has learned a lot of things which can only be learned through experience. All I would quote is “Believe you can, and you will be able to become”.
