The internship opportunity I had with Randstad India Pvt. Ltd. gave me an opportunity to learn and explore the human resource industry. It was a great chance for learning and professional development. Therefore, I consider myself very lucky; because this opportunity gave me a chance to meet so many wonderful people and professionals who led me through this internship period.
I want to use this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude and special thanks to Ms. Pooja Upadhyaya, Associate Regional Business Head of Randstad India who in spite of being busy with her roles and responsibilities, took time out to guide, motivate and keep me on the correct path and allowing me to out my project at their esteemed organization.
Her positive attitude towards work and people working in the organization is surely one of the things I want to implement in my coming corporate life.
It is my radiant sentiment to place on record my best regards, deepest sense of gratitude to Ms. Priyanka Yadav and Ms. Sulekha Raina for their careful and precious guidance, which were extremely valuable for my study both theoretically and practically.
This opportunity is a big milestone in my career development. I will strive to use gained skills and knowledge in the best possible way, and I will continue to work with the same dedication and focus, in order to attain desired career objectives. It not only made me a more confident person but also gave me a preview of the corporate world.
My first project focused on understanding the challenges being faced by the textile industry in the Human Resource department. After an interaction with various HR heads of different companies, we found the major issue textile industry is facing is hiring low skilled laborers in large numbers. It is difficult for them to find a large number of candidates and then retaining them in the organization. Therefore, Randstad stands out among the competitors as it does contract staffing and has specialized recruitment team for the blue-collar job.
It was my responsibility to understand the client’s problem and further giving the solution.
My second project was on the recruitment of candidates for different clients.
I worked on 10 profiles in the one-month period. It was intensive learning about understanding the requirement of candidates’ client wants and shortlisting the candidates based on initial screening on a phone call.
