Having been born in a well to do family, with all my needs and wants been met it was difficult for me to imagine myself face a serious challenge in life. I was always a bright student and performed decently in sports and arts as well. However, being an extreme introvert it became difficult for me to make it big in life. I found it very difficult to make friends and have comfortable conversations with anyone.

Though this never created any major problem in my childhood I faced major difficulties making friends in college. I also performed horribly in college placements and was in a major low in life.

After getting through an information technology company (not a great achievement for a student from finance background) I performed decently and was appreciated for my work. Primarily, it was because there what mattered there was my performance rather than confidence.

I started preparing for CAT and gave my first attempt in December 2017. I scored among the top one percentile which meant that I got calls from the best B-schools in the country. However, I performed very poorly in my interviews and could only crack an average B-school which I was not ready to take.

It was difficult to find motivation in life and was really demotivated. However, since I was performing well at my company I was appointed as the team lead. This was a very different experience for me. It added much required motivation in life and made me realize that successful people were those who were not desperate about success but are positive about it. It gave me a major boost in life.

I spearheaded multiple automations in my company which were recognized by senior management. The automations reduced the turnaround time of my function tremendously and I was appreciated for the same by my fellow colleagues as well. I soon found my footing in life. I was made the primary pricing analyst of a billion dollar deal for a major hunting account and was successful in giving holistic view of prices to management.

I attempted CAT again in 2018. This time I scored much lesser than my first attempt, however was very confident regarding the interviews. This time I got selected in one of the best B-school in the country and I am not looking back in life. I will not let this positivity ever fade from my life.
