Aditya Birla Group , an Indian multinational conglomerate operates in 35 countries with more than 120,000 employees worldwide .The group was founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857. The group has interests in viscose staple fibre, metals, cement (largest in India), viscose filament yarn, branded apparel, carbonblack, chemicals, fertilisers, insulators, financial services, telecom, BPO and IT services. You just name the industry and Aditya Birla Group is there. The group has been a part of my life throughout satisfying my demands as consumer with its wide range of services and products. The house that I live in has the “engineers’ choice cement” i.e the Ultratech cement. The phone network that I use is probably the fastest 4G network in India and is probably “what an IDEA sirjee”. Aditya Birla group is an important player in public infrastructure projects such as bridges, metro rail networks ,roads etc. The most important aspect of the group in my life is in fashion and clothing. I always prefer clothes with good quality fabric and that also goes with the fashin trend . With its wide range of clothing brands such as Allen Solly , Louis Phillipe,Peter England, Van Heusen , I can get the best quality clothing that mathes with the current trend . In fact I have always been fascinated by these brands and it gives me immense pleasure and satisfaction as a costumer if I wear one of those.

‘How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far’

Life is not always a bed of roses. Everyone has to face a lot of hurdles to achieve what really matters in his/her life. My case is no different. During my childhood I excelled in my studies and was a topper everytime . My expectations from me grew more than ever when I joined the IIT coaching classes in class 11^th . I prepared well for two years and then the judgement day arrived . I did extremely bad and could not make it . I took admission in a state government engineering college . But there was something inherent in me that didn’t let me compromise on my dreams. I took the risk of managing engineering with iit preparation in the first year. Failed in both and was heart broken and depressed. After getting support from my family , I decided to start fresh and since I had a good percentage in class 12^th , I got admission in physics honours , delhi university. Studying there I realized that all that glitters is not gold. Delhi university doesn’t even guarantee a job ,leave the thought of a great career. Being mediocre was something which I didn’t signed up for . I decided to write cat . I failed in that too. I could get only 94 percentile. With a lot of thought and determination I decided to prepare with lot of efforts for the next attempt. I studied around 10 hours daily for the next six months ,gave a lot of mocks, read a lot of newspapers and made this a do or die situation for me . Finally I was able to score 98percentile in cat, 99 percentile in iift and cracked nmat . I got calls from few iims and finally I joined nmims Mumbai.
