“The path to success is to take massive, determined ACTION” – Tony Robbins. ABG has never left a moment to surprise me with their innovation and passion for a change. I have a special connection with ABG Group as my father has been working in UltraTech Cement Ltd for more than 8 years. I have seen the culture and creativity of the group little too closely and have always admired the sense of goals it always had. We all know that ABG as the conglomerate is huge and has got a wide range of products of different segments under it. But if I mention one special brand which is close to my heart – I would say please let me mention two. The most peculiar fact is that both the brands which are close to me are linked with my father. As mentioned earlier, first is definitely UltraTech Cement Ltd. The kind of projects UltraTech Cement did make me proud as an Indian. I am from Gujarat, and when I saw the Statue of Unity for the first time, it made me feel proud. All the efforts that ABG puts in to make us feel proud are laudable. And how can we not mention the Worli Sea Link, which makes us feel how our country is developing at such a pace. Now, these are the things that we see from the outside facet but the actual sense of responsibility that they carry and deliver was sensed by me when I interned in UltraTech during my summer internship this year. I get to know how UltraTech is growing year on year and delivery more than the expectation. I have realized by meeting the customers how this cement become people’s choice and not only the engineer’s choice. The best thing that I have learned and inculcated in me is the values that they believe in and how each and every employee linked with the company follows it religiously. Integrity, Commitment, Passion, Seamlessness, and Speed: these are the five values and how it is linked with the human life, a very basic but so sensible interpretation which is helping me to see my goal clearly and work towards it.

The second brand is Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, not just because I am just a girl who loves shopping but because it is linked with a milestone in my life. I remember the day when I got my first salary and asked my father, that now is the day when I will get you something from my first money. I still remember the smile on his face, I can never forget that – it was priceless. It was a Louise Philippe shirt, I precisely remember and he said I am going to keep it with me forever. So, ABG has a very special role in my life and we will walk together forever.

I always believe – If you don’t challenge yourself, you will never realize what you can become. When I started my journey I took engineering as a career, because I always believed that’s the best for me. But while pursuing it I have realized my link towards the management field. Taking the right decision for my career was the biggest challenge for me because you never know initially it was right or wrong. But I decided to go ahead with my heart and passion and took a job related to what I like which was a bit difficult to me coming from a totally unknown field. Now I feel if I would not have taken that decision I would have regretted the most. I have seen how UltraTech Cement has grown year on year facing all the challenges and just winning moments at the moment. How they took Jaypee and now Binani and making their distribution channel so strong that nobody is near their competition. I have adapted one thing from them and I try to replicate this in my own life: get aware of what you have and what, analyze the environment and strategize accordingly. Be firm and confident in your decision and always think of sustainability. Challenges will keep on coming and you will keep on learning because learning never stops.
