Part A: ABG Presence in my life

Aditya Birla Group is a giant conglomerate, not just in India but worldwide. There isn’t a single arena of business where we don’t see the mark of Birla. Established in the year 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla, they have been a strong pillar in developing the foundation of the Indian Economy. If the Indian economy is carefully perceived, one can owe India’s global recognition to ABG.

ABG is another name for quality and efficiency in India as well as globally. It has facilitated the development of India and its economy. It has equipped the Middle Class or the Working Class with the power of making an intrinsic contribution towards their future and, in turn, India.

ABG in India owns some of the best ventures. It is not hyperbole to say that almost all the construction sites use Aditya Birla’s Ultra Tech Cement. It is almost synonymous to a durable edifice. It is the most trusted brand in India. The quality and economical pricing make it fit into everybody’s pocket. For instance, I have my home in Bikaner. It is a district in the state of Rajasthan. Our house has tolerated storms, hails, flood, yet it is still standing as brand new. It is all due to the strong foundation and the strength provided by the Ultratech cement.

Apart from my personal experience, ABG has done a lot in the agriculture sector. It has provided employment as well as empowered our farmers who are the inevitable part of Indian Economy. Not just that, it is also a renowned fashion brand. It has become another name for clothes.

The role played by ABG in our lives is quite evident if one looks around. They have ventured in all the aspects; be it finance, construction, textiles, retail, agriculture; they have aced all of it. With each passing year, they are expanding and strengthening themselves.

Based on their results, it would not be false to say that they have The Midas touch.

Part B: Challenges faced and overcome

Life is full of challenges. Being challenged in life is inevitable. The one who understood this has come out with flying colors. As a management student, it is imperative for us to be ready for challenges. When you come to a prestigious institute, you get to see the cutthroat competition around yourself.

During my journey as an MBA aspirant, I realized that it is crucial to be a jack of all trades at some level. As a Mechanical Engineer, I take pride in saying that my aptitude and interest in operations and processing is par excellence. But in the present digital era, Information technology is becoming vital for existence day by day. Therefore, it is essential to be efficient in IT applications as well. Due to my mechanical background, I do not have expertise in the IT field. It has been even more visible during my internship. It would take me more time than an average IT professional to finish or even understand the technology for processing. I will admit, sometimes it is utterly wearisome to do that. But I did not lose patience. I sit and study for hours learning about the IT equipping myself to deliver my targets. I will admit that it had been a demanding challenge, but the results made it worthy of every effort I took.

Through my journey, I understood that challenges are always given to those who can face them. They show not only the world but also yourself your capability and endurance. It develops your personality and prepares you for the world. I believe this experience has enriched my life and has helped me in knowing myself.
