Aditya Birla Group is a name so big everyone has heard of. From apparels to telecommunications, ABG has a wide assortment of products. It has impacted not only one but millions of lives in one way or another. Similarly, it has made a huge impact on my life.

Pantaloons has been my Go-To shopping place for a long time now. Some years back, I used to be extra cautious about how I looked and what I wore. Then, Pantaloons came into my life and gave me the confidence to carry myself graciously and be comfortable in my own skin. For instance, being an MBA student, I needed business formals, and Van Heusen was able to provide the perfect fit for me, as it matched my personality and the budget as well. It made me feel good about myself which brought me one step closer to being confident.

Carrying oneself in a classic way isn’t just about the way that one dresses but the way one communicates as well. Idea has been a constant in my life for that communication. It keeps me closer to the ones I love. Nowadays, being far away from home, video calling parents is a blessing, and Idea grants me that wish. I have a sentiment attached to it as it was the first sim I bought. It gave me a feeling of independence, having your own number was a big deal way back then. It changed my life. I have been a loyal customer ever since. From mountains to valleys, I’ve carried it with me and it has kept me connected to the world.

In short, Aditya Birla Group has laid out a path for me to walk and talk in confidence, and I’m sure it’s not been just me but my family, friends, acquaintances, and the world. It, indeed, has been a huge part of my life and will continue to be one as well.

For me, In Life, it is not what I’ve achieved but what I’ve overcome has more value. Facing situations and overcoming challenges is what made me stronger. The reason for believing so is dealing with one of the major challenges in life.

Like any other commerce student, I applied for CA examinations after my boards. I gave the CPT examinations and managed to score well. But things didn’t work out. I soon realized CA was not my cup of tea. Then I had to face two major fractures while struggling with how to opt out of the decision I made. It took me some time but I realized I cannot hold onto something that isn’t meant to be mine. So I quit it and came back home and began a new journey of introspection.

While all this was happening in my life, I realized how difficult times helped me grow as a person. The art of knowing ‘when to quit’ is a prerequisite in the path of life, as a stubborn mind cannot bloom. Another thing it taught me was the way to deal with failures. “Fear regret more than failure.” I’m not afraid of trying new things anymore.

All these things helped me find the courage to pursue an altogether different path, MBA. And the moment I realized this is what I wanted to do, I took all my lessons and learnings and started working towards it. I gave my best for the CAT examination. I tried new approaches everyday to find the best one, then I focused on the interview processes and it all lead me here.

There is a saying “A butterfly flaps its wings, and it starts to rain.” It depicts how all the little things turn out to be something big and things fall in place eventually. All the choices I made, that I considered wrong were right in a way or the other as they brought me here. It all made me the person I am today. I achieved what I aimed for, a content feeling. And it is just the beginning of my career and my life.

“Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.” I look forward to venture on more difficult roads that lead me to the best future ahead.
