Can dreaming big alone take you to heights?? No, but it can pave the way to push yourself through to at least reach a formidable height of the success peak. Towards the last years of school, being passionate towards engineering, my father always urged to lock targets just on the IITs and he was so confident. But I doubted myself and asked him whether he was telling so to build my confidence or to put up pressure, but his answer was neither of them. That’s when he taught me this golden mantra – to dream really really big to come out at least significant! I got admitted to one of the oldest and finest institutes of the state of Kerala.

Towards the final year, I dreamt of getting the highest paid job offer from campus and was able to grab one of the best, and that too in an interesting area. I decided to work for a short while, hoping to familiarize with the corporate world before stepping foot into the world of management and prepare considerably well for the entrance exams. But at my job, being part of a new project, had enough to keep me engaged round the clock. Initially I felt exhausted but it was my father’s words that kept me going, that this is the stage of life where the hours and effort you put in prepares you for the rest of your life. I kept my big dream of getting into a premier b-school alive by making time now and then. And time had kept a totally unexpected challenge for me and my state through the August floods in Kerala. Post flood rebuilding activities at home took some serious toll on my hitherto hectic but pretty smooth life. But the big dream calling kept me on track while being with my family and delivering at work. And when the time came, my big dream finally materialized BIG, getting into premier institution.

With classes just about to begin, I am shaping the next big dream, the next peak to be scaled, to keep me pushing, to keep me running, eventually to come out big!
