The Aditya Birla group was founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857 and has left no stone
unturned to complement Indian economy by providing a portfolio of products and services
ranging from metals, cement and Carbon black to professional and affordable clothing
products, and consecutively be in the coveted Fortune 500 league. This group has
ameliorated lives of the Indian people all across the wide income spectrum in multiple ways
on a daily basis. It is well said by Anthony Anderson to ‘Set your heights more than what you
see around you, see beyond’ and ABG’s vision is an epitome for the message conveyed
above.
ABG doesn’t just have a substantial presence in my life but also in millions of other Indian’s
lives. From the clothes we wear, to the buildings we live in, to the roads we travel on, to
connecting us to our loved ones or to its commendable CSR programme, Aditya Birla group
is ubiquitous. As I have been associated with an NGO‘Eastsons and goodworks’ in Noida, it
intrigued me when I became cognizant of the group’s versatile contribution for under
privileged children which focuses on five key areas —health, education, water, sustainable
livelihood and infrastructure development. Social causes such as anti-dowry and anti-
alcohol initiatives and widow remarriage have also been in ABG’s innovative portfolio for
Social contributions. It personally gave me sigh of relief when behemoth organizations like
Aditya Birla group rise above the Financials of the company to immensely overdo their CSR
Obligations. I feel if all corporations get together at various Platforms to do their bit for
charity and support social causes ,the world will be abetter place with an increased income
equity among all individuals because education is wealth and equal resources and
opportunities is what one can ask for. I have personally felt the group’s presence while I
shop for clothing and accessories as brands like AllenSolly, Van Heusen and Louis Philipe are
one of my favorites. Clothes, both professional and casual, have always been a part of my
level of comfort and confidence and hence it won’t be an overstatement to say that ABG is
the reason I feel comfortable while going for interviews or while making important
presentations. Also ABG plays an immense role in boosting the economy of India and
creating job Opportunities throughout the country, and hence it plays an indirect role in
developing my country, my society and my home.
