As their tag line 'Always big in your life', Aditya Birla Group has been an indispensable part of my life since childhood, even though it took me a while to reckon the same. My initial encounter with ABG was through UltraTech cement ads. I was really enthralled by the magnificent structures they portrayed in the ad, so much so that I insisted my parents to get UltraTech cement for the construction of our house.

My subsequent encounters with ABG unfurled in a rapid pace. A new 'More' outlet started near my house. I used to drive the trolley and stroll around the place, while my parents were busy shopping. I was awestruck by the plethora of goods that were up for grabs. ABG thus became a part of our everyday life.

As I was growing up ABG was also ushering in the global arena, expanding it's gamut of products.Who can forget the white creatures with ballooned bodies and egg heads who are used to promote various value added services of Vodafone-ZooZoos.There are more than 200 pages on ZooZoos and having more than 2,50,000 fan pages. As soon as I got my first phone I subscribed to Vodafone sim.

Well reckoned association with ABG started in the later years with pantaloon. I missed another great opportunity to be associated with ABG by a giff when I missed the Bits Pilani seat by 1 mark. Now with ABGLP I am looking forward for a second innings.

HOW HAVE YOU MADE AN IMPACT???

Parting with a close acquaintance is a difficult task. There is nothing as spine chilling as bidding adieu to someone forever. It was during the  10th board exams. I got a call saying that my best friend succumbed to death in a car accident. It felt like my whole life was falling apart. She was my friend, neighbour, confidante and what not.I had to confront my board exam ,which at that juncture sounded really trivial to me. But I mustered strength and tried to appear for the exam ,keeping the mourning in abeyance. As soon as the exam was over ,I rushed out of the hall and broke into tears ,letting go off my agony. It took me a great deal of time to reconcile her absence and get in terms with the fact that she is not coming back.I slowly gathered traction and got accustomed to it. But she has never really moved into oblivion.
