Growing up as a small town boy, made me realise that the type of market tells a lot, almost everything, about the lifestyle and status, what we Indians prefer calling ‘class’, of the society. The services provided by the Aditya Birla Group, undoubtedly enhanced the ‘class’ of the Indian society. The motive of any business should be smooth enough so as to inculcate in the lives of people without burning a hole in their pocket. And this, I would like to call it as a ‘super group’, is the classic example of this business ideology. I won’t be wrong if I say that this large conglomerate touches millions of lives.
Here is something about me, I like reading the content written on the bottles, or on the sachets, on the cartons, while consuming that particular product. To my amusement, now when I am recalling the products, most of it was provided by Aditya Birla Group. From getting late for school and grabbing a Chapati roll in the Freshwrapp (nobody called it aluminium foil, it was Freshwrapp for everyone) to jumping off the jute sacks and the Aditya cement bags in the sidewalk; from going through my broke wallet days and buying amazing stuff from Pantaloons (yeah, I liked the colour) to the ISO certified Aditya Birla Schools. These products and the happy memories are inseparable for me.
Stepping into the life of fashion and lifestyle, yes, I am talking about University. Ranging from the Allen Solly, Peter England to Ralph Lauren to the heavy talks about life insurances with my father, everything included Aditya Birla group. The merchandise available at the stores available made my day eventful in the fests. Talking about the University hostel, built in the bad network coverage life, Idea cellular saved my parents from the small panic attacks, when my previous could not make us feel connected.
Eventually with walking forwards in the course of life, travelling is becoming a big part of it. Buying and exchanging books and magazines at the railway station book dealer, was my favourite section. Got to learn more about the largely established industrialist, Honourable Kumar Mangalam Birla, inspiring my inner one.
So, this was about me, someone belonging to a middle class family, someone who can afford not-so-expensive luxury. But more than 22% of the Indian population lies under the Below Poverty Level. For an overall development of a country, the unprivileged sector has to be taken care of, and Aditya Birla Group has done wonders. Basic necessecities have been provided. Worth mentioning, treated a million patients in 5,000 medical camps and 20 hospitals, 70 million children immunised against polio, 56 schools educating the young minds with limited access. All these efforts are going to be fruitful in the future. Dealing with the current scenario and sorting out the real world problems with time in hand, should be the foremost in the bucket list and The Aditya Birla Group has proved as a stellar platform for scavenging this issue. About a lakh people get training for various skill development so as to conquer the survival war.
Looking forward to keep getting inspired by this benevolent organisation and working together in order to make a difference and a better and happy India.
