- Insights From A CAT 99.5 Percentiler - Roshan Raheja, JBIMS Mumbai
We then began with one of the most anticipated sessions of the day - an interactive session with a CAT 99.5 percentiler and JBIMS student, Roshan Raheja.
CAT is one of the most popular entrance exams of the country, with over 2 Lakh aspirants appearing for the test in 2017. The CAT 2017 paper was particularly tricky, and Roshan was looking forward to dispelling all fears that aspirants may have had on the road to CAT 2018.
Roshan began the session by sharing the strategy that got him a stellar score of 99.5 percentile in CAT 2016. As was anticipated, he was flooded with questions from aspirants looking to emulate him and ace the test in 2018.
To explain his strategy better, Roshan dissected the CAT 2017 paper section-wise, taking up a few key questions and sharing some great test-taking strategies.
He ended the brilliant session with some more questions from the audience, who were now refuelled with sandwiches mid-session and had plenty of questions for the CAT topper.
- The Mental Side To CAT - How To Have A Winning Attitude | Ankit Doshi, Founder of InsideIIM - Konversations
With all the sessions on test-taking strategies done and dusted, it was time for something equally important; something that is often overlooked by aspirants in their pursuit to get that 99.xx percentile in a competitive exam - Motivation.
Exams like CAT and NMAT are physically and emotionally draining, and InsideIIM-Konversations founder Ankit Doshi is all too familiar with that. As someone who had attempted CAT thrice before making it to an IIM, Ankit knew the psyche of an aspirant inside out - the stress, anxiety, and uncertainty. Bearing this in mind, Ankit gave a great talk on dealing with the pressure of attempting an exam like CAT and explained with real-life examples as to how competitive exams are just an iota of someone's entire life and not the end of the world.
He advised aspirants to take themselves a little less seriously, and enjoy the process of preparing for the "beautiful exam". The talk hit home with the aspirants, as they huddled around Ankit even after the session was over to gain some more crucial insight that could help them stay motivated for CAT 2018.

After Ankit's talk, the famished aspirants now broke for lunch to the foyer, where a lavish meal awaited them.
The lunch also gave an opportunity for aspirants to network amongst themselves, as they headed home with a lap full of goodies from the SDA Bocconi Asia Center and InsideIIM-Konversations team.
The event was a massive success, and the feedback we received from the participants is a testimony to this -
"I got answers to questions which I have been wondering for a long
time" - Lalit Rautela"Speakers were inspiring" - Rahil Shah
"Very informative and gave insight of CAT and NMAT" - Shikha Singh
