Also, most of us are run by the concept of I, Me and Myself, and therefore just focus our own knowledge and progress. But Darpan Saxena, a student of IIM Udaipur, does not only work towards his dreams but is also working day and night to help the marketing enthusiasts and budding marketers in understanding marketing in an easy and interactive manner. He is doing this through his blog named Super Heuristics. Here is a candid interview with our in-campus marketer and blogger to find out what he has to say about his love for marketing and his journey with his entrepreneurial venture.
Topping in any class, batch or similar environment is exceptionally hard. We do not need any convincing to believe that. At some point or the other, we have all aspired to be the best. But what does it take to top, that too on a consistent basis? Are there are some people who are innately toppers or is it about grit?
Joining an MBA is only a step towards your dream career. What we may not give as much thought to is what to choose within and after an MBA. While most reports in the media or society see an MBA as an end goal, students know that it is just a start. We have to make 2 major choices. Firstly, we choose which stream of MBA to specialise in. My college does not have any streams to choose from. But most do. These include marketing, HR, operations, finance etc. Let’s first address how to figure this out:
We come out with a book on Mergers and Acquisitions just in time for the interview season for MBA aspirants as well as students on MBA campuses. A curious mind and a supportive set of parents ensured that I always did more than just study. Right from my early days of school, I got involved in a plethora of activities. Managing academics with debating and writing allowed me to engage in multitasking from a young age. Little did I know that this would be a lifesaver in the years to come.
