Kritika Mittal graduated with a B.E. in Computer Science from Thapar University and got a job as an analyst in JP Morgan. After a couple years of working here, Kritika decided to pursue an MBA. Hence in 2018, she attempted the CAT. Not happy with her performance, she decided to rewrite the CAT in 2019. Working 12-18 hours a day and preparing for CAT was not an easy task. Sumit Tengale, a mechanical engineer from the College of Engineering, Pune, worked at Reliance Industries Limited for 3 years. This is when he figured out that pursuing an MBA would help him learn about and understand the industry in depth, making him ready for management positions. This motivated him to write CAT twice. Finally in 2019, Sumit scored 98.6%ile and converted a call to IIM Indore. In this video, he tells us his CAT journey and how he went from 60-65%ile in his first mocks to his current score. Sumit knew that the VA-RC section was a weakness for him. Further, he found himself being overconfident when it came to quants and scored less on that section too. My Journey From A Hospital Bed To IIM Lucknow, Ft. Manavdeep S, CAT 99%iler

For Manavdeep Singh (currently a student of IIM Lucknow), the initial part of his life was full of highs. He was an academically successful person who did his Mechanical Engineering from Thapar University. He even got a PPO from Tata Motors. Manavdeep loved riding motorcycles, so when the opportunity in Honda opened up, he took it without hesitation. However, during a bike test, the brakes malfunctioned and he met with an accident. Everything started spiraling out of control from thereon. He had to be hospitalized, it was there when he decided to sit for the CAT exam. Despite being unable to sit up straight and study properly, he managed to score a 99%ile and was able to score a seat in IIM Lucknow. He even bagged a PPO in Amazon and will join the company in 2021.
