Spread over a sprawling 300 acres of land, IIM Udaipur is the youngest palace in the Royal state of Rajasthan. The palace we have been calling home for over a year now!
=RANDBETWEEN(1,9) and he hovered his finger over the Enter key and cackled with laughter at our overwrought faces as we waited for the axe to fall on a study group.
1. Seniors- This is my first experience in a hostel, and I was skeptical about the behaviour of the seniors. Since the first day, the seniors were very helpful. They helped us settle down and were ready to assist us in any way. Zero ragging, I can't think about another college where ragging is debilitated at this degree. Additionally, every one of us was given little booklets to illuminate for us what to do to forestall being battered. A lot of people might think these are merely conventions, done in each big college. Be that as it may, ragging honestly does not occur here. From the first day, the junior, senior relationship develops decidedly, and it just continues getting more grounded.
Although there are countless advantages of being a part of IIM Udaipur, the best part of the college is in fact, the spirit of the IIMU family with which it promotes its values. This feeling of belonging, perpetuated by an atmosphere of welcome as promoted by the management, faculty, and the student body, envelops each incoming student and carries them along their entire college career. It results not only in a student’s increase in their desire to excel but also in future connections with professors, extreme pride in extracurricular activities and untold connections with the professional world.
The day I decided that IIMU is where I wanted to be, like any other student who was leaving his home for the first time, I was in parts apprehensive and excited. The apprehensions were mainly about the added responsibilities that come with living alone, while the excitement had to do with all the friends I would make and all the fun I could have. The weeks leading up to D-Day were spent wondering what the hostel would be like, in packing, unpacking and repacking (I guess learning what to pack and what not to is a science in itself and should be taught).
Being an Institute of National Importance (INI), IIM Udaipur – one of the seven IIMs under the 11th Five-Year Plan of the Planning Commission of India – has carved out a unique position for itself. What makes an IIM, which is just into its 7th year of operation, so unique?
IIM Udaipur is the first among the new IIMs to move into its new campus. The campus is located in Balicha, Udaipur sprawling across a 300-acre site among the mountains. There are many things which makes the campus truly unique, few of which I have listed down below.
