There are several parameters which one has to consider before joining any B-School. Before receiving admit from the college I had done preliminary research about the institute. I had only bird eye’s view of the location, founding year, final and summer placements statistics.
One among the 20 IIMs with the motto of “Learning by Doing” IIM Kashipur provides a unique experience to an individual which is different in every sense and can not be compared to any other institute as it has its own set of features and specialties embedded in its diverse culture.
IIM Kashipur, one of the new IIMs in the country, which means that the students here are working hard to make the transition of growth curve to move as rapidly as possible. This is a campus which is placed in the most peaceful of locations with a beautiful campus with greenery in and around. In rigorous academic situations, all we need is a peaceful location to neutralize stress which only a few campuses in the country have. The students here are considered to be lucky as many of the tourist attraction places lies in Uttarakhand. The exposed brick architectural design is considered as one of the sophisticated of designs, which is what this campus is built with. Faculties here are very open-minded and are always ready to clear doubts, imbibe values and much more. The best values aren’t taught but experienced through peer learning to look at different perspectives of the same problem and come up with a solution that is universal. It is a student-governed organization so important managerial decisions are taken by students which makes us understand the importance and seriousness in an organization at a very early stage of career. People who come for entrepreneurship is benefited so much as there is a highly functional E-Cell which helps in making ends meet. After all, this is one of the best places to fulfil your dreams but to learn how to fulfil any dream.
As we all have heard many times that “Everyone is Unique”. I believe the same holds true for everything material including a campus of different colleges. Still, if someone asks me to highlight the facts that glorify the uniqueness of IIM Kashipur, I will start with its location. Our IIM has an added advantage of scenic beauty along with the enormous amount of industrial presence. Initially, small-scale and agricultural based, industries have significantly increased their foothold, thanks to the administrative support. Such added advantage comes in the form of live projects and industrial visits for a better understanding of the working of a stable management system and to help us apply the concepts learned throughout the 2-year course.
On the eve of June 22nd this year, I was sitting just outside the classroom of a B-school, which I joined for I had no other option in hand, when suddenly my phone buzzed. To my disbelief, instead of another email bringing more work to my table, it was a pleasant surprise from the team of IIM Kashipur. It started as, “Heartiest Congratulations on behalf of the Indian Institute of Management Kashipur”, and I knew what was in there. While I was riding on the euphoria of having received an admission offer from one of the IIMs, memories of all those sleepless nights I have spent in the last two years while preparing for this moment crossed my mind.
It was in the month of June 2018, the results for the MBA season were coming out, I had gotten final converts from all the new IIMs. Now lay the decision on me to chose the B-School from where I would be pursuing my MBA. After carrying out a logical analysis, I came to a conclusion of joining IIM Udaipur. The following paragraphs would explain as to what made me chose IIM Udaipur and what makes it unique
