It was 7:00 in the morning as I sprung up from my bed, silencing the 5th among a dozen alarms I had set for that morning. After a night of disturbed sleep and mulling over the day that was to come, I decided to finally get off the bed and suit up. The day of the interview had finally come. Burning hours of midnight oil in remembering the names of presidents, cabinet portfolios and CEOs would soon be put to test. As I reached the venue and my name was called out, my heart was racing, anxious to ace the interview and secure a seat at one of the top B-Schools of the country.
It is indeed true that the MBA Campus Life is the best thing that anyone could get. It has been Six months and I still remember the first day standing in front of the gate of one of the most coveted B-Schools of the country. Emotions rushing through as I had heard many fables that IMI is the campus that never sleeps, and I was all excited to be part of it.
The alarm went off at 6 am and I nearly jumped out of my bed!
A few months ago I was also at crossroads; I had recently started working at well known consulting firms (not big fours, then I would have never left). I had MHCET percentile of 99.78 so had a chance of getting SIMSREE as well. And I had DoMS IIT Madras. I was not interested at all to go to Baby IIMs or some of the new IIMs that I had converted (My CAT score was 98.8). Honestly, I just took a leap of faith and went for DoMS. But I have not regretted my decision of getting into IIT M.
B-schools are often looked at as places brimming with Engineers and boring lectures.
